Press several keys simultaneously to enter polyphonic parts. In this Cubase tutorial, I go through 10 tips for Cubases key editor. Press the corresponding key on your computer keyboard. I’ve tried everything to resolve but can’t figure it out. Perform one of the following actions to enter some notes: Click on the keys of the On-Screen Keyboard. However this keyboard is not in the device list. The manual seems written for people who already mostly know what it all means. Hello, I am trying to set up an external Midi keyboard (Yamaha SX900) with Cubase. I checked that it was securely plugged in to the USB port. So I enabled all the MPK249 items and then got error messages for all of them (see attached). I was always getting an error message relating to this MIDI input. ![]() I initially only had "MPK249" enabled in the MIDI Inputs window. I don't understand what any of this means. The MPK249 appears 8 times in the MIDI hardware settings window. Not sure if I had to enable them but I did. Move the sound file so the first peak (the sound of your finger hitting the keyboard) is positioned at 0. Through trial and error (unplugging the drum kit and seeing the effect on available items in MIDI device settings windows) I worked out that the kit is somehow related to "USB Audio" (see attached screenshot). The available inputs depend on the type of MIDI interface that you are using. In the topmost Inspector section, open the Input Routing pop-up menu and select an input. Is the edrum on and connected to the computer usb port before turning the computer on? Procedure In the track list, select the track to which you want to assign a MIDI input. I looked in one of carlsbro’s other edrum manuals.
